National News: New Safety Advice Issued on Electric Gates

Installers, designers, maintenance firms and manufacturers of electric gates, are being urged to seriously consider new safety advice issued by the Health and Safety Executive today, following the recent deaths of two children involving these gates.The safety alert points out that limiting the closing forces of gates alone will not provide sufficient protection to meet the relevant standards, and installers must fit additional safeguards to gates in public areas. Steve ‘Doing The 92' Hall and Mayor to attend BNI Visitors Day in Chelmsford

Steve Hall is on a mission to visit all 92 football league clubs in England and Wales by bicycle to raise awareness for the world's 45 million refugees, and will be stopping off at Chelmsford for BNI Excelsior's Visitors Day on 7th September. The mayor of Chelmsford will also be attending, as will the National Director for BNI UK.Steve Hall is cycling some 3,000 miles between the 92 football league grounds in the UK.
